| Welcome to clairefontaine.co.uk
This is a private sale which will save you between £10,000
and £15,000 with having NO AGENCY FEES
to pay
The main house has been traced back
to 1830 by the local historical society
Three members of three different local families
have said that there is a date on the building, which states the
date 1760. This date was covered up in 1962 - 63, when a pre-fabricated
concreated building was attached onto the side of the front of
the house and that date should still be there.
Because of its age, its very difficult to describe
the lay out of the house exactly.
It has 1.2 acres of land, with the possible
option to buy 2 more acres.

Summary
The house is being sold because of ill health.
This property has tremendous potential and is
being sold with a view to run it as a Bed & Breakfast. This
could cover painting holidays, photographic holidays, holidays
for nature lovers etc.
Because the local Mayor is accessible and encourages
any new business ventures and also speaks English, this would
make starting up a business in France much easier.
This Website can be retained to promote new
business after the sale of the house, for a nominal fee paid every
year.
We are situated only 40 miles from Le Mans and
have always had visitors staying at the property on or around
the 24-hour Le Mans race weekend.
It could also be split into 2 homes, so one could be rented out
to a local French family.
Because no chemicals have been used on or around
this property for the last 50 years, I have made a very big effort
to retain all it’s wildlife.
To the of the front of the property is the gable
end, there is a small barn which is built inside the property
(access to this can be gained from the outside), this houses swallows
every year.
The neighbours, what few there are, are amazing.
Very kind, friendly and yet are not intrusive. They are happy
to give advice and physical assistance and do this generously.
Neighbours children and grandchildren visit
the property. We have also been asked on occasion to take the
neighbours children to school and pick them up, which means that
we have been accepted as part of their families.
The most difficult part to describe about this
house with all the trees and wildlife is the ATMOSPHERE!
It’s happy and welcoming, but you would need to be there
to feel it and become part of it.
It’s a paradise for anyone who likes to
sit out in the evenings and watch amazing birdlife including,
woodpeckers and wildlife including, red squirrels, hares, hedgehogs
and many more nocturnal and diurnal wildlife.
Every time I visit the house it is nice to
just leave the stresses and nastiness of everyday life and I always
use the following expression: -
“I LEAVE LIFE BEHIND!”
Come and experience
it for yourselves.
